IMBY stands for In My Backyard — a friendly counter to NIMBY ("Not In My Backyard"). Instead of pushing new housing away from our neighborhoods, we welcome it into our own backyards, where it does the most good for the people who need it most.

We believe the solutions to our collective needs are found within our own communities. Wichita homeowners have unused outdoor space. Their neighbors need safe, affordable places to live. IMBY brings those two realities together.
